A: You can research and locate product right here on the Outer Banks web site. We offer an online catalog that allows you to research product details. Our product locator service tells you which wholesalers carry the Outer Banks style and color you are looking for. Q: Are Outer Banks products guaranteed?
A: Everything that Outer Banks makes comes with an unconditional quality guarantee. We guarantee that our product will be free of defects or you can return the product for an exchange or your money back. Unembellished product can be returned no questions asked. Embellished product does need to be inspected prior to issuing a credit.
Q: What are "coordinates"?
A: Coordinates or a coordinate set are a pair of styles designed to coordinate from a color and styling standpoint, one is designed for a man and the other is designed for a woman. Outer Banks offers his and her coordinate sets for almost every collection in the line.
Q: I noticed that some Outerwear product features a "passport pocket", what exactly is that?
A: A passport pocket is a large interior pocket that hides embroidery backing on the inside of Outer Banks outerwear styles 5510 & 5517. Not only is the pocket fullly functional, this feature also adds value to these garments by allowing for a clean, tailored appearance after embroidery.
Q: Are Outer Banks shirts "pre-shrunk"?
A: Yes. We use a pre-shrinking process known as compaction. Compaction forces the same amount of fabric into a smaller area. Cotton is a natural fiber and will shrink but the compaction process minimizes the overall shrinkage in the garment.

Q: What is HOB Central?
A: HOB Central is a supplemental pick-pack service for Outer Banks customers. Wholesalers will take orders for the products in HOB Central stock and Hanes will pick and package the goods and ship them to the final destination. Distribution centers in Ontario, CA (Southern CA) and Elizabethtown, KY (near Louisville) will support the program, each carrying the full line of available products. Approximately 80% of the US will be serviced in 2 days. Eleven HOB Central wholesalers will share the inventory in the distribution centers.
Q: Where can I buy/find Outer Banks products?
A: Outer Banks products are sold through a large network of wholesalers. You can use our Wholesaler Listing and Outer Banks Product Locator services to help you locate the products you need at a distributor close to you. Q: Can I buy direct from Outer Banks?
A: Yes, product can be purchased from Outer Banks on a limited basis. It is often more advantageous to order from one of our wholesalers because they offer many services, such as lower freight costs, one day service, smaller order quantities that may not available be through direct purchase. However, if you are having trouble getting the product you need Outer Banks will ship direct as a customer convenience.
Q: Does Outer Banksoffer embroidery services?
A: Outer Banks does not offer embroidery services directly. To locate embroiders in your area please use out Business Locator.
Q: I understand that wholesalers will not accept returns of printed/embellished garments that have manufacturer defects.
A: We stand behind all of our manufactured garments and we require the same of our wholesalers. Wholesalers should accept returns of your printed/embellished garments with manufacturer defects.
